Hair gone wrong

I am almost certain that everyone has watched this video, at least once.  And if not, you need to look at this.  How this girl got famous off of this video is clear.  How the media got a hold of this and blew it up so immensely is phenominal.  This girl went on Ellen for this video.  She explains that she does many tutorials but this one by far was the most watched.  The girl herself was amazed at how quick this video got blown up. From her town to everywhere in the world, people are talking about her.  And she gets paid some money everytime someone watches her video.  Burning your hair off for that, I think is worth it/

  1. Ha ha I really love that you posted about this! My sisters and I watched this not long ago as well and we were cracking up!
But at the same time, this video produces so many questions. At least for me as a girl. What caused it? The product she was advertising? The iron? How long she held it in? And also, why would she post it up? Maybe someone found it on her computer or something and posted it up as a joke? But either way I agree with you, becoming a cyber-"celebrity" is worth burning off a little chunk of hair...

    1. Wow, I cannot believe her hair burned off. This is my first time watching this video and I thought it was staged. I wonder what hair product she used on her hair prior to using the curling iron? It makes me think people would do anything to be in the limelight. Really? If I burned my hair off I would not post a you tube video but these days reality shows sell and as a result most people want their five minute of fame. Either way the girl wins why? Because you tube viewers, talk show like Ellen gave her the time and the day. That was her goal to become a celebrity online and she did. Personally I would not burn my hair to become a celebrity.

  2. Hi Madelyn,

This video is hilarious and the look on her face was priceless. It is interesting that more and more people are becoming famous from acts of stupidity, instead of acts of intelligence. Once upon a time, we made of fun of those looking to get their 15 minutes of fame. Now, it is an everyday occurrence that everyone wants to be a part of.
